PETTICOAT-SCHMITT CARES

Petticoat-Schmitt is dedicated to helping build a strong community by working with dedicated partners who share our values of Accountability, Character, and Team. Over the years, we have found that engaging with these exemplary organizations builds pride, camaraderie, and joy amongst everyone involved.

The Child Cancer Fund & Digger Day

Since 1994, the Child Cancer Fund has been working to provide caring support for families fighting childhood cancer. By focusing on emotional, practical, educational and financial support for local families, they are a guiding light for the brave children and their families.

At Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors, we are honored to stand alongside The Child Cancer Fund in Jacksonville, Florida, as dedicated community partners. Our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond construction projects; it encompasses the well-being of our community, especially its youngest members. The Child Cancer Fund's unwavering dedication to supporting children and families affected by cancer resonates deeply with our values. Together, we strive to bring comfort, hope, and resources to those facing the challenges of childhood cancer. This partnership exemplifies our shared belief in the power of collective action and highlights our mutual goal of creating a brighter, healthier future for the children and families we proudly serve.

Initiated in 2022, Petticoat-Schmitt’s Digger Day(TM) has quickly become a highly anticipated event by the children and families working with The Child Cancer Fund. The 2023 event hosted more than 30 families to a day that everyone “digged.” Kids got to operate six different machines, engage in face painting, bounce house, sand art, and more. Everyone enjoyed pizza and cold drinks, and it’s not likely that any other field of dirt has supported so much love and hope. Petticoat-Schmitt is grateful for support of more than 28 caring companies that helped make the day a huge success, and raised $33, 000 to support the Child Cancer Fund.

Seamark Ranch

Seamark Ranch’s vision is to break the generational cycle of failure that affects the families they serve, and to nurture purposeful living in children who have experienced the impact of broken families.

Petticoat-Schmitt has proudly supported Seamark Ranch for more than 10 years. Ryan Schmitt, CEO, has served on the Board of Directors and been instrumental in helping Seamark grow to meet the increasing needs of housing and care. The Petticoat-Schmitt team, “The Schmitters,” participates in Seamark’s Mud Run, golf tournaments, clay shoots, and other activities.

Together
We Build
The Future

“It is not more bigness that should be our goal. We must attempt, rather, to bring people back to the warmth of community, to the worth of individual effort and responsibility, and of individuals working together as a community, to better their lives and their children’s future.”
– Robert F. Kennedy
